16 Verses - The Resurrection: A Powerful Proclamation:Romans 1:3-4

Pastor Chris Garrison Continues the series from the 16 Verses series. Often we limit the power of God to what we can understand. In Romans 1:3-4 we see that when we procalim Jesus as King, Son and Lord of all, we need to resond to that power. Let's not box Him in...Blow the doors off our small faith. Don't be satisfied with just a little bit of God --His greatness cannot be contained!

1 Timothy 1:3-20: Fascinating

This is the second sermon on the first letter of Paul to Timothy. Paul is writing to Timothy in Ephesus where there are problems with the church there because it was not guarding the gospel of Jesus against the chatter and talk among the people. As Christians, our main purpose, our charge, is to guard the gospel. We don't do this by shutting it up or speaking it in Greek or Christian terms. We do it by making it the center of our lives.

Sabbath as Play

Pastor Chris Garrison finishes this series on Sabbath by preaching from Psalm 96:11-12. We often miss the point of Sabbath. God gave us a Sabbath because we need renewal. Based on God's glory, Sabbath connects us with enjoying God's creation. We are encouraged to joyfully and playfully set aside the toils of life and take up rest in Christ.

7 Letters to the Churches:Luke Warm

Pastor Chris Garrison teaches from the letter to the church in Laodicea in Revelation 3:14-22. Jesus is the authority and answer to everything, and as such should be the root of all our passions. But misplaced passion is a recipe for a lukewarm faith. What's wrong with being lukewarm? Why does it rob us of joy? What is the remedy?

7 Letters to the Churches: Wake Up!

Pastor Chris Garrison is teaching from Revelation 3:1-6, a letter to the church at Sardis. The church at Sardis had a reputation as being alive and on the right track spiritually. But in actuality they were struggling  with carnal issues such as envy, fear, lust, hatred, jealousy,  dissension and the like. John writes to this church to encourage them to keep pursuing faith, keep growing in Christ lest they grow weak and risk spiritual death. As human members of Christ's Church on Earth, we are encouraged to embrace this call of conviction as a call to action and to be AWAKE to the things of God so we can receive the richness of life that Jesus offers us as his church.

Handles: Depression

Depression is the result of the many tools Satan uses against us as he feeds us lies that we believe about who we are or about our circumstances. But there is Good News! The Bible tells the truth: God loves us and will never forsake us!

Following Jesus: Service

In this message from Luke 9:10-17,Pastor David Curtis shares that when God commands us to serve others, we may perceive challenges. As the disciples discovered as they were instructed to  feed the 5000, willingness to cooperate in God's plan empowers our service to bless others, is multiplied, and gives glory to God.

Following Jesus: Guilty

In this week's sermon, Pastor David Curtis reminds us that when we truly begin to follow Jesus, we may find ourselves guilty of breaking religious cultural norms. Even if we are accused by others of not fitting the "religeous mold", we can't forget to celebrate the new things God is doing in our faith walk.
