This is the first sermon in a new series Pastor Chris Garrison is preaching on the Epistle from the Apostle Paul to Timothy. In 1 Timothy 1:1-2 we learn the context of the relationship between Paul and Timothy. Paul is commending Timothy as he is being sent out to spread the gospel. This is a book of the Bible that matters today. We, as Christians, are saved to serve. 1 Timothy tells us how to be a healthy church that is continually being shaped into the image of God in order to serve each other.

Pastor Chris Garrison finishes the sermon series on Nehemiah. In Nehemiah 13 we see that just when it seemed like Jerusalem was coming together, Nehemiah returns it find it falling apart. He found the people demonstration failures in many of the areas he set in place. But unlike Jerusalem, we don't need a temple, or a wall, or a select group of people. We need something bigger. Clinging to the cross if the only way to conquer our failure and turn it into and opportunity to move forward.

Pastor Chris Garrison continues teaching from the Book of Nehemiah. In Nehemiah 10:38-39 we find that there are patterns, or rhythms, to the required sacrificial rituals of the people in Jerusalem. Is your life of worship a dirge of duty, or is it a dance of devotion? When we respond to the rhythm of God's faithful work, He can change the rhythms in our life: our relationships, our finances, our worship.
