Advent: The Gift of Expectancy
Sunday Nov 29, 2015
Sunday Nov 29, 2015
Pastor Chris Garrison begins the Advent season with the first sermon in his series, The Gifts of Christmas. This first Sunday of Advent is the Sunday of HOPE. In Luke 2:8-16 we find the shepherds engaged in a "treasure hunt," leading them to the greatest gift anyone could ever receive. Their terror of the dark night soon turned to expectancy, and their hope ignited their search for Jesus, the perfect gift of light. You, too can have hope of finding Jesus, even if you have been lost in darkness.

Sunday Oct 25, 2015
Sunday Oct 25, 2015
Pastor Chris Garrison continues the series on Nehemiah with Nehemiah 4:14-20. Nehemiah has started to rebuild the wall at Jerusalem even though the governor told him not to. The Jews were facing opposition physically and emotional. This portion of Nehemiah shows us that life involves spiritual battles. We are at war whether we like it or not. Know God's plan and the reasons to stand firm. When we face external and internal opposition remember that together we are stronger!

Sunday Oct 04, 2015
Today Pastor Chris begins a new series from the Book of Nehemiah. In our world today, where trauma often defines who we are, we are missing out on the blessings that God has in store for us. In Nehemiah 1:1-11 we are introduced to a man who was not defined by life's problems, but by God's great promises. Through prayer, we can make room for God to show us opportunities to transcend our brokenness.

Phil Yntema, NAB Interim Regional Minister, joins us today as we install Pastor Chris Garrison as our new Lead Pastor. Dr. Yntema asks the questions, Are you ready to to run the race and not get weary? Are you ready to experience God in real time and space? We have been wonderfully created to meet with Him, as Isaiah did in Isaiah 6:1. First, acknowledge God. Second, you must peruse God through His Word. Thirdly, pray in order to hear what God is saying to YOU.

Sabbath: Worship
Sunday Aug 30, 2015
Sunday Aug 30, 2015
Last week was our annual Church Picnic. Pastor Chris Garrison began a series untitled Sabbath. This week he continues the series on Sabbath and speaks to us about worship. The first way to break life's troubles is through worship. In Psalm 95 we see that God calls us to worship Him with our passion, with our reason, with our intellect, and with our will. The depth of our worship will only be as deep as the amount of worth we ascribe to God. As we worship Him, seeing Him for Who He is, our problems become small.

7 Letters to the Churches:Luke Warm
Sunday Aug 16, 2015
Sunday Aug 16, 2015
Pastor Chris Garrison teaches from the letter to the church in Laodicea in Revelation 3:14-22. Jesus is the authority and answer to everything, and as such should be the root of all our passions. But misplaced passion is a recipe for a lukewarm faith. What's wrong with being lukewarm? Why does it rob us of joy? What is the remedy?

7 Letters to the Churches: Open Doors
Sunday Aug 09, 2015
Sunday Aug 09, 2015
Pastor Chris Garrison preaches from Revelation 3:7-13 which is a letter written by John to the Church at Philadelphia. Once again this church is encouraged to continue their good works, but are cautioned to examine their motives and who they are placing on the throne of their lives. We are challenged to ask, "What defines us?" "Who or what gives us our identity?" If we know Christ as our author and answer to all things on Earth, He will call us sons, daughters, missionaries, blessed, holy, and righteous. He will open doors of opportunity to do the good works He made us for. He promises us a place in His Kingdom temple.

Handles: Wrath
Sunday Jun 14, 2015
Sunday Jun 14, 2015
In this, the final sermon in the "Handles" Series, Pastor Chris Garrison gives us a picture of God's "just" wrath. Just wrath is a necessary component of life. Even though we are uncomfortable with it, God's wrath flows out of His love for His creation and for His children. When that love is violated, He shows His anger as a consequence to those who deserve it. But the Good News is that Jesus took the wrath that we deserve, took it to the cross, and paid the ultimate price so we don't have to face the wrath of God.

Sunday May 17, 2015
Sunday May 17, 2015
In this message in the Handles Series, guest preacher, Mike Miller, talks about depression in our contemporary society. Depression is the result of the many tools Satan uses against us as he feeds us lies that we believe about who we are or about our circumstances. But there is Good News! The Bible tells the truth: God loves us and will never forsake us!
