16 Verses: " The Suffering Servant:" Isaiah 53:6
Sunday Sep 25, 2016
Sunday Sep 25, 2016
Pastor Chris Garrison continues his "16 Verses" Sermon series teaching from Isaiah 53:6. The text, in context, contains a series of seemingly contradictory statements. Yet the juxtapositions create a clear structure that defines what the servant is: a divine substitution for the sacrifice needed to pay the price for the sins of Adam and Eve that are transferred to us and that we carry. The suffering servant's humiliation leads to exaltation and brings us peace as he bears our sins. Why? Because GOD LOVES YOU!

16 Verses: The King Beloved -- 2 Samuel 7:1-22
Sunday Sep 18, 2016
Sunday Sep 18, 2016
The theme for Pastor Chris Garrison's lesson this week, launched from The Whole Story of the Bible in 16 Verses, is that God, who is the hero and central figure of our story, wants to fulfill our hearts' desires. But we learn that we are first made to delight in theLord, and then he will give us the desires of our heart. God gave Israel David as their king. He wanted to build a house for God, but God shows him that He desires to build His kingdom and fulfill His promises through the kingdom He would establish through David, not a house of cedar. Through David, we receive Jesus, the true fulfillment of our hearts.

Sunday Sep 04, 2016
Pastor Chris Garrison Continues launching his sermons from THE WHOLE STORY OF THE BIBLE IN 16 VERSES. The story so far: God created a kingdom, and He is the King, but He made human beings to represent Him in that kingdom. Adam and Eve rejected this call, which led to sin and death.
